Welcome

Coming to therapy is the first step in a hopeful direction and I’m thankful you found your way to me.

People choose therapy for many different reasons. The desire to change something is always at the heart of it. Change can be a scary word and it can push us out of our comfort zone. Although it is true that therapy is not always an easy endeavor, its purpose is to provide relief and healing. As a colleague of mine says, “If pain is one side of a coin and hope is the other, then the flip of a coin is choosing therapy.”

Please spend some time looking around my website to see if we are a good fit for this journey. Just reach out if you are ready to make an appointment, have questions, or would like to speak on the phone. I’m here.

“Molly changed the trajectory of my adult life. This sounds like hyperbole, but I assure you, it’s not. I cannot say enough about how much therapy with Molly has impacted my life.

I’d been living with undiagnosed anxiety and PTSD, and not only did she give them a name, she gave me a framework to manage my anxiety in concrete ways. More importantly, she’s taught me that I am not broken, nor am I alone. I am more than my diagnosis. She pulls out all the stops to find ideas and diagrams and handouts that will help her patients. Her integrative approach and creative out-of-the-box exercises mean she always finds something that makes sense to me that I can reach for in countless situations. Molly loves to learn, and she’s always adding new ideas and techniques to her repertoire. She’s helped me make sense of my family system and dynamics, and has helped me process old traumas in ways I never thought possible.

She’s amazing.”

“I will always recommend Molly Gales. She was referred by many of my friends and associates, and since we’ve been working together I truly see why. She is compassionate, always understanding, and a true listener. For this being my first time working with a therapist I am very grateful that it was with her!”

M.J., queer Black man

“Molly has a keen awareness of what various folks have to deal with in this world largely set up for White men. Her ability to be perceptive and supportive about racism and sexism in workspaces has been validating and helpful. Her astute approach with her clients lends a comfort to her confidentiality. Her warmth combined with her mindful techniques has shown me a positive path through CBT and other methods, with real results that have helped my life.”
