Authentic and Compassionate Psychotherapy

for Adolescents, Individuals, Families, and Groups

Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of being. - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Covid-19 Notice

I provide a safe, stable, HIPAA-compliant platform for video telehealth.

During the pandemic, I am conducting all of my sessions through this

telehealth platform and am following shelter-in-place guidelines. It's

critical to keep one another safe. In these uncertain times, connection, compassion and communication are especially important. I am able to

work with folks located anywhere in California at this time.

Coming to therapy is the first step in a hopeful direction. People choose therapy for many different reasons. The desire to change something is always at the heart of it. Change can be a scary word and it can push us out of our comfort zone. Although it is true that therapy is not always an easy endeavor, its purpose is to provide relief and healing. As a colleague of mine says, "If pain is one side of a coin and hope is the other, then the flip of a coin is choosing therapy."

At its best, therapy is a considerate and collaborative partnership. It is essential to provide a warm and comfortable environment to nurture this partnership. In our work together, you can expect that I will treat you with respect, thoughtfulness, kindness, and experience. It is my privilege to provide you with a safe and respectful place where I will listen to and value your thoughts, beliefs, experiences, and goals. I am an integrative psychotherapist and use a combination of strengths-based therapeutic techniques and processes including Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness techniques and a number of other therapeutic methods. I offer the creation of an authentic and compassionate relationship where you can discover how to make the most of your life, whatever your circumstances.
