Authentic and Compassionate Psychotherapy
for Adolescents, Individuals, Families, and Groups
Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of being. - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I provide a safe, stable, HIPAA-compliant platform for telehealth. During the pandemic, I am conducting all of my sessions via telehealth and am following shelter-in-place guidelines. It's critical to keep one another safe. In these uncertain times, challenges for teens and parents are particularly acute. Social isolation, depression and anxiety are some of the challenges folks are facing. Connection, compassion and communication are especially important right now. Please contact me for a free consultation. I am able to work with folks located anywhere in California at this time.
I believe therapy is a collaborative experience between you and your therapist. I provide a warm and comfortable environment where you can expect to be treated with respect, kindness, and experience. I am an integrative psychotherapist and use a combination of strengths-based therapeutic techniques and processes including Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, and Narrative Therapies. I use neuroplasticity for chronic pain and anxiety, as well as somatic and mindfulness-based techniques. I have worked with teens for over 25 years and specialize in adolescent therapy. See my Teens and Experience pages for more information.
The most important thing I have to offer is the creation of an authentic and compassionate relationship where you can discover how to make the most of your life, whatever your circumstances.
I have been working with adolescents and families in a variety of ways since 1992. I have an MA Ed in English Education from Columbia University as well as an MA from The Wright Institute Counseling program.
